i had a minor heart attack when i saw the papers this morning. yes i saw the top students for the psle, but that's a separate topic altogether.

i was in utter shock at the monstrosity they're sending out as singapore's mascot for the world expo in shanghai next year. i can only say the durian star looks ugly. i mean what else can i say? it's ugly. in fact it's beyond ugly. 'he is five, wears a red one-piece suit emblazoned with a Merlion image, and loves durians so much he wears a spiky cap shaped like a durian'. need i say more? and he's called liu lian xiao xing. i really have nothing left to say. nothing that i can print anyway.
