thought of the day: what do you do when all that's left are but foggy memories?

was showering in camp today after live run... yes, contrary to popular belief, i go and run sometimes. but of cos make up for it by having extra big breakfast... :P anywayz. yar, was showering in the forever cold sickbay toilet, and instinctively turned the heater up.

interestingly, that reminded me of taiwan. lolz. that time, sources said that taiwan was going to be warm, but dunno due to wat reason, apparently there was a cold front, then the weather was very cold for like dunno how many days lor. for once we were hiding indoors to keep warm!

actually the shower reminded me of the toilet in taiwan. i remember when we were showering together, 2 different cubicles not together in 1 cubicle... yar. but anyway it has a weird shower system, the dual hot/cold valve and that there is only 1 point where the water is bearable. i.e. not freezing nor boiling. so when 1 person try to shower the point is so hard to find imagine 2 people showering together lah. so we'd sarbo each other by playing with the tap then the other poor party gets shocks of hot and cold water. that was fun...

perhaps the other most memorable experience from taiwan is the dogs. honestly i didn't want to get myself attached to the dogs, cos either way it not a healthy relationship. i mean we were only going to stay there for 2 months. and if the dogs were overly dependent on us for survival, what happens when we leave? but then it seemed like everyone was playing with the dogs. i heard someone even blew his paycheck on dog food lah. not to mention build a kennel for the dogs lah. by the way they were mostly puppies...

i remember the 1st one came in when we were unpacking and it kept hiding in our cardboard boxes. yar it was still very cold then so it kept coming in to hide from the wind i suppose. and how can you say no to puppies yar? ah well but of cos someone wasn't happy with the puppy's presence, so we had to chase it away. but it kept coming back. so jia wen had to carry it a long way off before it finally disappeared for a while... those were the days... sigh...
