argh something's wrong with my tagboard!!! stress stress stress... anyone with any remote idea(if anyone's reading at all), pls contact me... sms/messenger... duh.. hahah can't tag me any help right??? lol...

another review on songs... hahaha... i mean so many new song's on repeat mode on the airwaves u gotta either love or loath them... hahah...

1. i don't feel like dancin' by scissor sisters
verdict: love it

honestly was quite put off by this song in the beginning. i mean the weak whiny vocals n weird tune isn't exactly an instant hit. however, it's quite endearing actually. it feels very retro n upbeat. like wat some class 95 dj said '(something to the effect of) the title says i don't feel like dancin' but when u hear the song u do feel like dancin'' lol... which is quite true really... i find it quite amazing that scissor sisters are making it this big actually. heard they like knocked some veterans off the charts to clinch the no. 1 spot in i dunno where. interesting how a group of controversial gender-questionable/bending people are getting more famous/successful than the conventional veterans...

2. hurt by christina aguilera
verdict: love it

1st time i heard it, i commented:'is that kelly clarkson or christina?' says a lot about kelly, which is a good thing... well, christina is really going back to basics, back to the strong powerful vocals that propelled her into stardom, not like dirrty that sent her straight into notoriority. it's very soulful n very christina, exactly like what she should have n continue to sound like. i feel like getting 'back to basics' already.

3. LDN by lily allen
verdict: love it

like her 1st song, this one's quite kooky n quirky. very cute intro. sounds throwback to the 60s? 70s? jazz? i dunno, but u get my drift yar? after i saw the mtv for smile, the only thought running through my head is: she's fat! then: did she pen the song herself? oh well...

4. irreplaceable by beyoncé
verdict: not bad lah

the 'to the left' chant is very hypnotic, quite nice. strong vocals à la beyoncé. not growing much on me yet. to me its just another nice song.

5. chasing cars by snow patrol
verdict: loathe it completely

i remember the 1st time i heard it on tv i was making fun of it like crazy. it started out as a not-too-bad song. jonathan leong made it a pleasant song. after listening it for like the n-th time on the radio its literally driving me crazy!!! it may be a song for dogs, n now it seems like it is for the dogs....

6. have you ever seen the rain by Rod Steward (my bad, my bad, heard it like twice today.... so i'm quite sure its him)
verdict: hate it

utterly weak vocals, the song itself din really appeal to me. after the countless times its been played, i'm totally against it. i remember some time ago there was this heavy thunderstorm n i was stuck in a range, i saw trees falling with my own eyes, the wind was so strong the traing shed provided no shelter whatsoever, my back was drenched, then they played this song on the radio. then after, they said that tree pruning was going on n vernetta was like tree pruning? the trees are falling by themselves, tree pruning for wat? oh well....

7. torn by latoya
verdict: can't stand it

started out like ok, a bit whiny but ok. now, its also driving me crazy since i hear it like every other hour on the radio. it is like the personification(does that even make sense for a song?) of whiny. i mean the intro is already so limp n off-pitch-ish, then it all spirals downhill from there.
