last fridae....
had a french outing to relc...
regional french speaking competition...

unfortunately, the singaporean delegates won nothing... as expected...
i was quite impressed by them...
i mean they r like 14 yr olds, yet they r so fluent!!
we r like 17 n still struggling with the language lor....

n some were very comfortable on stage, during the impromptu segment, abt quitting sch to pursue a life of music...
one actually showed her singing prowess on stage...
a FRENCH SONG!!!
i was like... woah... their native language is not even french...
at least she was very sporting...

another one was even more impressive...
he actually managed to NOT sing on stage!!!
he managed to sustain them for 2 mins without having to sing!!!

n afterwards we were joking that now the singaporeans can make friends in the region... communicating thru french!!!
lolz...
and they were saying thet'd nvr want to ever touch french again!!!

feeling more n more depressed.....
interclass debates only like 3 daes away...
yet now, still got no one dares to take up the challenge of being a speaker...
all of them r juz pushing the responsibility all over the place lor...
even to the extent of wanting a walkover!!

wat i was thinking is that at cat high...
there were enuf pple fighting to be a speaker lor..
i dun mean like extreme enthusiasmor wat but at least they were interested...
n those who were not so keen n entered, at least they undertook the challenge n spoke....
even though we din make it thru the prelims, at least we tried, we put up our best performance... even though we knew we wont make it....

but now...

they dun even wanna try lor...
they dun even wanna dare to do something liddat, not even for the experience!!!
