today announcements getting very interesting....
muz be too much french...
i dunno y but i get pretty uncomfortable when they announce "liaison officers needed... pls sign up"...
especially in some NUS thingy which i cant remember wat...
well....
in french a liaison is an affair.... like sexual affair yar?
so liaison officers....
sounds like they either having a rendez-vous with the participants or promoting promiscuity....

next announcement...
or rather award ceremony...
"our school has achieved commendable achievements in the vertical challenge held in suntec city at some time.. they climbed a gruelling 43 storeys...."
well...
i always thought njc pple were vertically challenged n they've proven their point...
they challenge vertical limits!!!

next, the dragon boat award ceremony..
the emcee or whoever u call reads out the script, walks up to the podium... thumbing through a whole stack of notes....
"the canoe team would like to say 1stly that we do not recognise individual achievements... we only award group efforts...." *sigh* teacher propaganda...
then, the prize-giving starts... n apparently there are like wat 3 team awards to give out... at like 12 - 20 members per team?
so... an endless queue forms as the person reads out names after names after names...
15 min later when we thought all was over...
the person suddenlly fumbles frantically through his stack of papers... 'finally, we would like to say that there is a canoe trials on monday...."
i nearly fainted lor....
half n hr of announcements n he's still not done yet....
